Finance Manager – Senior Finance Analyst
Position Summary
Hubio is scaling its SaaS platforms for P&C insurance distribution and is seeking an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Financial Analyst, depending on experience. This role will oversee both financial oversight and financial planning & analysis. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and insightful planning and analysis. The role will oversee third‑party finance vendors and service providers, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to support growth, operational decision-making, and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight / Accounting Operations
Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, including appropriate SaaS revenue recognition for subscription and services contracts.
Establish, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that support audit readiness and scalability.
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit timelines, deliverables, and responses.
Provide oversight and direction to external vendors supporting accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and AP/AR activities, ensuring service quality and adherence to SLAs.
Support tax compliance and filings in collaboration with external tax advisors.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic reforecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, investment decisions, headcount planning, and scenario analysis.
Analyze and report on SaaS performance metrics, including ARR/MRR, churn, gross margin, customer economics, and operating leverage.
Prepare variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), highlighting key drivers, risks, and recommended actions.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Sales, and Customer teams to translate operating plans into financial impacts.
Management Reporting & Insights
Prepare monthly management reporting packages for leadership, including KPIs, trends, and performance insights.
Develop and maintain dashboards that link financial results to operational outcomes.
Provide clear, concise financial insights to support executive and cross-functional decision-making.
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
Improve finance processes through automation, standardization, and better system integration.
Support enhancements to invoicing and planning tools in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Reduce close timelines and improve forecast accuracy through disciplined processes and documentation.
Ensure high standards of financial data governance to support internal and external reporting confidence.
Collaboration & Business Partnership
Act as a trusted finance partner to leadership and functional teams.
Proactively identify financial risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
CFA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent designation preferred.
5+ years of experience across accounting and/or financial planning & analysis, ideally within SaaS, technology, or B2B services.
Demonstrated experience owning close, reporting, audit coordination, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Experience working with subscription revenue models and KPI-based reporting.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, billing, and BI tools preferred.
